In the attached National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) audio clip, NCBA Chief Economist Gregg Doud says the current beef trade impasse with South Korea is very close to being resolved.

Doud says he expects South Korea to provide a response to the United States in the next few days that could result in the resumption of U.S. beef sales. He also expects that within the next couple of months, Korea will move toward import of bone-in cuts as recommended by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE).
