Staff additions bring diverse experience to Cattle-Fax

DENVER (Nov. 1, 2006) - Cattle-Fax, an industry leader in providing cattle and beef market information, research and analysis, has announced several additions to its research and analysis staff.

Brett Stuart brings more than a decade of diverse cattle industry experience to his new role at Cattle-Fax. Most recently, he served as a trade analyst with the U.S. Meat Export Federation, providing research and market analysis to help build global demand for U.S. beef and pork. Stuart has also served the cattle industry in the areas of market analysis, business development, and hands-on ranch management. He holds a M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Utah State University.

Chad Spearman brings seven years of cattle and feedgrain industry experience to Cattle-Fax. Spearman served as assistant manager of L Cross Ranch in La Garita, Colo., after previously working in grain merchandising and grain elevator management. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business.

Case Gabel joins the Cattle-Fax market analyst staff after working in retail beef sales for Swift & Company. He has also been active in his family’s cow/calf and cattle feeding operation, located in northern Colorado. Gabel is also a graduate of Colorado State University, with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business and Animal Science. He will work extensively with feedlot, cow/calf and stocker members, as well as assisting with beef market research and analysis.

“Cattle-Fax is very excited to add team members with such diverse backgrounds and a very wide range of cattle industry experience,” said Randy Blach, executive vice president of Cattle-Fax. “With Brett, Chad and Case, we’ve added a tremendous depth of knowledge in the areas of international trade, cattle production and marketing, feedgrain production and trading, as well as the retail and packing sectors.
