Cattlemen Can Comment on Proposed Grazing Regulation Changes

NCBA has created an online comment form cattlemen can use to comment on the Bureau of Land Management’s advanced notice of proposed rulemaking to its grazing regulations.  The changes include restoring the right of permittee ownership of range improvements and requiring BLM to follow state law with regard to water rights. The proposed changes also include streamlining procedures and creating more flexibility for the BLM and the permittees.  These points are among those suggested by NCBA and Public lands Council as being beneficial to public lands ranchers.

The comment period is open until May 2, 2003. To access the online form, click on the following link:  <http://hill.beef.org/blm.asp>.  Fill in the requested information under "comment now," and click "submit comment."  Comments will instantly be sent, via email, to the BLM director who is taking comments.
