DIRECTOR, NCBA-PAC/PEF & REVENUE DEVELOPMENT
Reports To: Vice President, Government Affairs
(based in DC office)
General Responsibilities:
The Director of PAC/PEF & Revenue Development will play an important role in ensuring that PAC/PEF meets its yearly financial and operational objectives through targeted outreach with key funding partners from individuals and corporations. The Director will analyze short and long-term program goals, as a means to market and customize strategies that generate solid funding streams. The Director will also be responsible for additional revenue development for the Policy Division from grants and foundations.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Serves as liaison to Vice President, Government Affairs, to communicate and coordinate all political affairs and revenue development strategies and decisions
· Develops and implements all fundraising activities for PAC/PEF, including the development of the program’s annual budget
· Identifies unrealized financial opportunities and seeks ways to develop revenue inside the beltway by examining grant opportunities
· Assists in vetting substantive proposals, ensure timely reporting on grants and provide guidance to staff and officers on foundation prospects
· Creates, plans, and implements congressional candidate activities hosted by PAC/PEF in Washington, D.C. and in particular states and districts
· Serves as liaison to NCBA State Affiliates seeking NCBA-PAC assistance and provides NCBA State Affiliates and leadership with tools necessary to generate PAC/PEF funds
· Responsible for appropriate correspondence to contributors, PAC 500 & 1000 programs, and all donor recognition
· Serves on PAC Executive Committee; communicates PAC decisions with PAC Executive Committee members, staffs the Political Action Committee (PAC), serves as staff liaison to national PAC Chairman, Vice Chairman, and State and Breed Affiliate Chairmen
· Interprets campaign polling information, election return statistics, and FEC regulations for NCBA and PAC Executive Committee; attends political party candidate briefings and communicates information to NCBA and PAC Executive Committee
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6-8 years experience in fundraising & development work, with significant experience handling foundation relations. A working knowledge of PAC’s, the political process and campaign and/or hill experience beneficial. Excellent organization skills, communication skills and event planning skills required.
