Dick Pringle Beef Promotion Professional Development Fund
DENVER (Aug. 17, 2005) -- The National Cattlemen’s Foundation has announced a fund for use by state beef council staff members to enhance their professional skills in beef promotion, marketing and communications.
The fund is in memory of the life-long beef promotional work of Dick Pringle, Yates Center, Kan., who passed away in May at age 72. Mr. Pringle had a passion for beef promotion, evidenced through decades of tireless leadership at the state and national levels. He helped found the Kansas Beef Council, served as its chairman, and also served as chairman of the Kansas Livestock Association (KLA), Beef Industry Council, and the National Livestock and Meat Board.
“Dick’s progressive ideas left a positive mark on the beef industry that will be long remembered,” said KLA Executive Vice President Dee Likes. “He was truly an original in this business.”
The Dick Pringle Beef Promotion Professional Development Fund will be managed by the trustees of the National Cattlemen’s Foundation. To make a contribution, please write to the Foundation at 9110 E.
