Entries Sought for 2005 Beef Industry Vision Award

DENVER (August 23, 2004) – Nominations are now being sought for the 2005 Beef Industry Vision Award. The award is presented by the National Cattlemen’s Foundation (NCF) and sponsored by Ford Motor Company.

The Beef Industry Vision Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated innovation in their cattle operation or beef business and serves as an example for others to follow. These individuals can be from any segment of the industry. Nominees will be evaluated on the basis of effective use of technology, impact on profitability, ingenuity of implementation, impact on the industry, and optimum resource management.

Up to seven regional winners will be selected from a pool of nominations. The national winner will be announced in February at the 2005 Annual Convention and Trade Show in San Antonio, Texas.

“Through the Vision Award, the industry gets an opportunity to take a closer look at individuals who have made a difference for their own business and the beef industry through innovative practices,” says NCF Chairman Bob Josserand.  “There are very creative people in the U.S. cattle and beef businesses and we would like to recognize a few of their efforts.”

Please submit all nominations and applications directly to the NCF, attn: Marvin Kokes, 9110 E. Nichols Ave., Suite 300, Centennial, CO 80112. All nominations are due by Sept. 30. For nomination forms and program information, contact the NCF at 303-694-0305 or ncf@beef.org.
