NCBA CEO Terry Stokes and U.S. Meat Export Federation CEO Phil Seng were guests of AgriTalk host Mike Adams this morning, for a 15-minute segment. The following excerpts are from this program.

Stokes 1          :25           Stokes says that while a single shipment of product did not meet the terms of our export agreement with Japan and should be investigated thoroughly, it is not an event that should concern consumers.

Outake: "...taking this matter very seriously."

Seng 1           :15           Seng was asked how long he expected the ban on U.S. beef to last.

Outake: "....what's going to happen henceforth."

Seng 2           :24           Seng says he does not expect this development to
slow negotiations to open other markets to U.S. beef.

Outake: "...once information is provided."

Seng 3           :24            Seng says they will be watching consumer reaction
very closely over the weekend.

Outake: "....how consumers are going to react to this."
