The Cattle Industry Summer Conference is underway in Reno this week, and NCBA CEO Terry Stokes reports that there are several major issues under discussion.
 
Cut #1 :20  Outcue: "...repeal of the Death Tax."

Stokes says the cattle and beef markets are a key focus at this year’s summer meeting, as a number of factors are contributing to uncertainty in the market. Cattlemen are finding valuable market information at the Reno meeting.

Cut #2 :20  Outcue: "...on the futures market."

He added that the 2007 Farm Bill is also a major topic of discussion this week.
 
Cut #3 :31  Outcue: "...on our final policy."

The trade status of key exports markets such as Japan and South Korea are also at the top of the agenda.

The Cattle Industry Summer Conference runs July 10-13, concluding with the NCBA Board of Directors meeting on Thursday.
