The Cattle Industry Summer Conference drew about  800 cattle producers to Denver this week, and concluded Friday afternoon. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) President John Queen says the conference was very successful, and cattlemen are energized about the industry's future.

He said cattlemen debated crucial issues this week, including the 2007 Farm Bill, as well the Energy Bill's renewable fuel mandates.

Queen urged all cattlemen to engage their members of Congress during the upcoming August recess, and make their voices heard on Capitol Hill.
