"NCBA Member Testifies Before Congress about the Dangers of the Clean Water Restoration Act”
Jim Chilton, a fifth generation rancher from southeast Arizona, testified on Wednesday behalf of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the Public Lands Council during a Congressional hearing on the Clean Water Restoration Act. Chilton, whose family has been in the cattle business for over 120 years, explained how the Act would threaten small business owners like himself.

The Clean Water Restoration Act would drastically expand the current Clean Water Act, giving the federal government control over all watersheds in the nation, and all activities affecting these waters.

The bill passed out of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee last month.
