"Cattle Industry Summer Conference Fast Approaching: VOOGT"

(Gary Voogt (pronounced - VOTE) is a cattle producer from Marne, Michigan and president-elect of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association)

The annual Cattle Industry Summer Conference is coming up July 15-19 in Denver, but early registration ends June 25. The entire livestock industry is going through some volatile times right now, and National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) President-elect Gary Voogt says cattle industry committees will be reviewing many key policy issues at the Summer Conference.

Voogt, a cattle producer from Marne, Mich., says this is also a critical time for building and driving beef demand. He says cattlemen continue to discuss ways to enhance and improve the Beef Checkoff Program, and to strengthen the Federation of State Beef Councils.

He added that it's never been more critical for cattlemen to set regional differences aside, and work for the common good of the entire cattle industry.
