West Point, Neb., cattleman Harry Knobbe will host a delegation from Afghanistan next week, which will include Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Knobbe said the group hopes to learn about agriculture during its visit to Nebraska.

In a previous meeting with Afghan citizens, Knobbe emphasized the need to experience American agriculture first-hand.

Nebraska will be well-represented at the May 25 event, with several top officials attending. The event will showcase cattle production in Nebraska’s Cuming County, which is well-known for its cattle feeding success.

Knobbe, who is membership chairman for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, says his involvement with NCBA was instrumental to making this event happen.
