DENVER (September 1, 2005) - In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina's devastation, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association encourages everyone to make a donation to the relief effort. The money collected will go directly to delivering necessary supplies and services to help those affected rebuild their homes, ranches, and lives.

NCBA’s Disaster Relief Fund has been made active, and will be coordinated by the National Cattlemen’s Foundation (NCF). To make a monetary donation to the relief effort, donors can send a check to the National Cattlemen’s Foundation and write "Hurricane Katrina" in the memo line. NCF can also accept credit card donations made by telephone. Donations can be mailed to NCBA’s Denver office and will be used to purchase much-needed supplies. The address is:

National Cattlemen’s Foundation
9110 East Nichols Ave., Suite 300
Centennial, CO 80112
Phone: 303-694-0305

Disbursement of donations will be coordinated with the Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana Cattlemen’s Associations.

"This is a time to pull together and help everyone whose lives have been devastated by this tragedy, but especially our fellow farmers and ranchers in the Gulf Coast region." said NCBA President Jim McAdams, a cattleman from Adkins, Texas. "NCBA and its state affiliates thank everyone that has expressed a willingness to help and concern for those impacted."
