New Long Range Plan Being Built

Every five years NCBA develops a new Long Range Plan that guides the association’s activities.  For instance, the last plan set as a goal to increase beef demand 6 percent by 2004.  While that seemed a tall order for the time as beef demand had been on a long decline, that goal was met and exceeded.  NCBA is now in the beginning steps for developing the next Long Range Plan.  That process is outlined here:

Appoint Industry Planning Group (IPG) - October/November, 2004

Introduce Long Range Plan process and IPG - Annual Convention, 2005

Obtain industry input for new Long Range Plan - April - July 2005

IPG meetings - April - September 2005

Draft Long Range Plan distributed for industry comment - October/November 2005

Recommended Long Range Plan presented for action - Annual Convention, 2006

Plan implementation - 2006 and beyond
