"Nov. 21, 2003 - Walk-A-Mile in My Boots’ Program Brings Groups Together
Suggested Lead:
A new joint program between the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is helping improve communications between those who work on the land and those who develop government programs that involve them. Craig Utter, a beef producer from the Sandhills of Nebraska, was in Washington, D.C. this week to participate in the program. He says it brings both sides out of their comfort zones.
Cut #1 :24 Outcue: "...what each other does."
According to Utter, employees of the Fish & Wildlife Service seem to recognize the need for cooperation.
Cut #2 :25 Outcue: "...personal property rights."
The level of enthusiasm is high.
Cut #3 :18 Outcue: "...only benefit us all."
Utter says that he and fellow Nebraska cattleman Mike Kelly, who also traveled to Washington, had some high expectations – and weren’t disappointed.
Cut #4 :23 Outcue: "...towards this program."
Utter is enthusiastic about the other half of his effort, which will bring someone from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to his operation in Nebraska.
