Nov. 3, 2004 - Rural America a Major Influence on Election: Lyons

The U.S. beef industry is pleased with the overall results of Tuesday’s election, according to Jan Lyons, a Kansas cattle producer serving as President of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.

Cut #1    :18       Outcue: "...as we go forward."

Lyons is excited about the large voter turnout in rural areas, and rural voters playing a key role in the election.

Cut #2    :14       Outcue: "...such an important role."

With majorities remaining unchanged in both houses of Congress, cattle producers can look forward to continued strong working relationships that NCBA has established with key committee members and the Congressional leadership.

Cut #3    :25       Outcue: "...and this Congress."

NCBA... working to increase profit opportunities for cattle and beef producers by enhancing the business climate and building consumer demand.
