Oct. 19, 2004 - Rural Citizens Urged to be Part of Electoral Process
The election is two weeks from today – not great timing from the standpoint of many in the farming community. According to Jay Truitt, executive director of legislative affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, farmers in many states that playing key roles in the election of the next president may be busy on November 2nd.

Truitt says every voice will count.

There’s also a tradition at stake.

Truitt believes that even more important than the vote is the practice of voting.

Truitt says NCBA leaders studied the positions of the presidential candidates carefully, and have instructed the Political Action Committee of the organization to work on behalf of the re-election of President George W. Bush.
