Regional Winners Named for Environmental Stewardship Award Program’s Thirteenth Year

The regional winners of the 13th Annual Environmental Stewardship Award Program (ESAP) were selected in late July at a meeting in Ardmore, Okla.  The award is sponsored by Dow AgroSciences.

The ESAP selection committee is comprised of cattle producers, former ESAP winners, range scientists, wildlife managers, and conservation directors from across the country. The program is designed to recognize the conservation practices of cattlemen, who know that sound environmental stewardship is not only good for the land but a key part of ranch and farm management.

The program is open to cattlemen, whether or not they are members of NCBA.

The national winner will be selected later this year from the pool of regional winners and named at the Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show in Phoenix in January, 2004.

This year’s regional winners are:

Region I:           Llangollen Farms, Middleburg, Va.

Region II:         Carlton 2 X 4 Ranch, Arcadia, Fla.

Region III:        M&M Cattle Company, Carthage, Mo.

Region IV:        Canyon View Farms, Geary, Okla.

Region V:         Frasier Farms, Woodrow, Colo.
