Through the $1-per-head checkoff program, the beef industry’s Joint New Product & Culinary Initiatives Committee seeks to make beef tastier and more convenient, says Lee Hall. Hall is chairman of the committee and a beef producer from Lexington, Kentucky. According to Hall, new product initiatives are helping to increase beef demand.

The national beef checkoff is administered by the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board, a board of 110 volunteers appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture.
