Wed., July 16 03 -- Summer Conference Addresses Cattle Industry Issues
Next week cattlemen from across the country will meet in Dallas for the 2003 Cattle Industry Summer Conference. Terry Stokes, CEO for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, says it will be an important event.

According to Stokes, the NCBA members in attendance will discuss the policy development process, a new membership dues structure and approve a budget for fiscal 2004. They also will have plenty of industry issues on their minds.
Cut #2 :26 Outcue: "...the free trade agreements."
Stokes says a town hall meeting fed by satellite on RFD-TV next Thursday will help give producers additional insight and input into what’s going on.
Cut #3 :21 Outcue: "...cannot attend our meetings."
According to Stokes, the satellite television program will also help provide facts about how NCBA operates.

The Town Hall satellite broadcast on RFD-TV will take place from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Central time on the 24th, and include both policy information from NCBA, as well as checkoff information from the Cattlemen’s Beef Board. It will be re-broadcast several times the week of July 28.
