Your PAC Contributions Help Industry Champions
In the days leading up to Nov. 7th, House and Senate races nationwide remained too close to call. We held our breath on Election Night and waited to see what old and new cattle industry friends would prevail. There were good outcomes…and some not so good. But one thing is certain. Your NCBA-PAC dollars helped many allies return to Congress and will help educate the new members of the 110th Congress about issues of importance to the cattle industry.
Over the course of the 2006 election cycle, (November 2004 – November 2006), NCBA-PAC supported 88 candidates for the House of Representatives, contributing a total of $209,700.04. NCBA-PAC also supported 26 Senate campaigns, contributing $82,016.88 to those races. In addition, NCBA-PAC was able to contribute a total of $7,500 to the National Republican Congressional Committee and $5,000 to the Republican Majority Fund, Sen. Saxby Chambliss’ Leadership PAC.
In this post-election NCBA-PAC insert to the Beef Business Bulletin, you will see which candidates received contributions from NCBA-PAC, how successful these candidates were on election night throughout the nation, and how decisions were made to support them.
Thank you for your continued support of NCBA-PAC. We look forward to working with you as we head into the 2008 election cycle. We will need your help again to support all of our old friends in Congress and get to know our future champions. Thanks again for all you do to make NCBA-PAC the largest agricultural political action committee in the nation!
