A One-of-a-Kind Opportunity

NCBA’s public policy internship gives college juniors, seniors and graduate students a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work on behalf of America’s cattlemen and women in Washington, D.C. Interns work alongside NCBA’s lobbying team, regulatory experts, communications team and political action committee to ensure legislative and regulatory actions taken inside the nation’s Beltway don’t cause harm to the cattle industry.

This isn’t just about checking a box to complete an internship. NCBA public policy interns gain valuable skills to prepare them for a career after college, firsthand exposure to the public policy process and an opportunity to live in our nation’s Capital.

Internships are offered summer,
spring and fall semesters.

January 6 - May 9

A One-of-a-Kind City

NCBA’s office of government affairs is located in the heart of our nations capital at 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, just blocks from the White House, U.S. Capitol and historical monuments. Interns will often be going between Capitol Hill and the office, learning both the streets and the metro system. Take a run along the Tidal Basin and see the Cherry Blossoms in the spring, night tours of the monuments in summer and the White House Christmas tree in winter. The Smithsonian museums are free to the public.

Interns get the chance to view Washington as a Washingtonian.
