Title: Beltway Beef Audio News

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association is expecting good news tomorrow, Oct. 12, 2011. The U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate are expected to vote on the pending free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea. NCAB expects the long-awaited agreements to be passed by both the House and the Senate. NCBA President Bill Donald said for too long the trade agreements fell victim to political games but he is preparing to tell fellow cattlemen that their efforts paid off.

Donald, who is in Washington, D.C., this week is also testifying before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Energy and Power hearing focusing on H.R. 1633, the “Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act of 2011.”  He is speaking in support of the legislation that would stop the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating farm dust at levels twice as stringent as the current standard.

"As individuals, we have limited resources... aid in keeping the "wolves" such as government, environmental and radical groups, off of our door steps. NCBA is there every day protecting our industry."
