Title: Beltway Beef Audio News

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) is expecting record attendance at the 2012 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show. The convention has already broken the pre-registration record by 1,000 people. NCBA’s Mike Deering says more than 7,000 people are likely to rally in Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 1-4, for the convention.

If these projections prove true, Deering says the 1998 centennial convention record will be broken. Deering says the attendance is representative of the overall enthusiasm and optimism in the U.S. cattle industry and NCBA. He says 2011 successes have created a wave of momentum for NCBA members across the country. Deering says high domestic demand and projected record exports for 2012 also have cattlemen excited about the months ahead.

"As individuals, we have limited resources... aid in keeping the "wolves" such as government, environmental and radical groups, off of our door steps. NCBA is there every day protecting our industry."
