Title: Beltway Beef Audio News

We are hitting several hot topic issues with NCBA Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall.

Woodall expresses concerns regarding the U.S. government’s decision to appeal a World Trade Organization ruling on mandatory country of origin labeling. He says the appeal is the wrong answer and will ultimately send the wrong signals to Mexico and Canada, which are the top two export markets for U.S. beef.

Woodall takes a second to discuss NCBA's priorities for the 2012 Farm Bill. He says the focus is conservation and research.

Lean finely textured beef is 100 percent beef. Woodall says the irresponsible attacks by media are set to destroy roughly 650 jobs, the livelihood of families and cripple some rural economies.
