The Opening General Session officially kicks off the 2016 Cattle Industry Convention and this will be THE convention event you won’t want to miss!  This year’s general session will be a “theatrical event”,  with Robert Irvine LIVE! Is there cooking?  Yes, but don’t expect to sit back and watch Robert cook dishes for an hour.  With his new stage show, the seasoned, celebrated, no-nonsense chef takes his signature culinary sensibilities to a whole new level, resulting in a high energy, interactive, multimedia and multi-sensory theatrical experience.

This performance will be a new and unique experience.  Don’t expect to come to this event and just sit and watch.  This is an opportunity to let loose and have a good time!  Expect to stand, yell, and dance (yes, dance)!

Don’t miss this exciting event- Mark your calendar today for the 2016 Cattle Industry Convention!

2016 CattleFax U.S. & Global Protein & Grain Outlook

Thursday, January 28

Sponsored by Purina Animal Nutrition, LLC & Zoetis

This past 18 months saw grazing and growing conditions as good as they have been in the majority of areas for two-to-three decades.  Cattle prices have been record high during 2014-2015 and cow/calf producers were sent a strong signal to grow and expand the nation’s cow herd.  Expansion is in full swing and the January 2016 inventory numbers will show significant growth.

Beef demand has shown year over year growth for the past five years.  Will this continue as supplies increase in 2016 and 2017?  How will this impact prices and profitability for beef and all classes of cattle?  Beef, pork and poultry exports are very important to the entire livestock industry in the U.S.  As supplies of all meats grow, will export growth keep pace and will the global playing field remain level?  The outlook session will address each of these key questions.

Weather patterns have shifted to a cooler and wetter pattern just as Dr. Art Douglas predicted. Art will be on hand to present his long range weather forecast for all in attendance.

The livestock and meat industries continue to change quickly.  The CattleFax Outlook Seminar keeps you abreast of the evolving industry and provides a U.S. and global perspective and outlook.  That is why it is one of the most well attended sessions at convention.
