2017 NCBA Federation Division Chairman
Dawn Caldwell, a beef producer from Edgar, Neb., is currently serving as the chairman of the Federation of State Beef Councils of NCBA.
Caldwell and her husband, Matt, have a cow-calf operation in Clay County that was started by Matt’s grandparents. She has served on numerous state and national committees, including as vice chairman of the Nebraska Beef Council, chair of the ag policy committee of the Nebraska Farm Bureau and on the NCBA Executive Committee representing the Federation. She is also active in local organizations, including as a 4-H leader and in her local church, St. James Lutheran Church.
In addition to serving as 2017 vice chairman of the Federation, Caldwell will serve on the Beef Promotion Operating Committee (BPOC), which helps determine funding for beef checkoff projects at the national level.
