Jr. Graphic Designer, Manager Level

Location: National Cattlemen's Beef Association, Denver Office
Reports To:  Sr. Director, Federation State Services
  
General Responsibilities:
From concepting to completion, the Graphic Designer ensures quality production of a finished design project. The Graphic Designer works with a team of designers in the design, page layout, and production of annual reports, brochures, publications, advertisements, logos, large format signage, social media graphics, etc. Under the direction of the Sr. Director, the Graphic Designer concepts, produces, creates, maintains and/or updates various supporting print and digital communications materials for all departments of NCBA and its partners. Graphic Designer also maintains strong relationships with existing print vendors and works with the Sr. Director to acquire print bids.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Provide professional design services, including concepting, working comps and new creative to 
    solve graphic design/communications needs of NCBA departments and partners.
• Develop logo and brand identities for events.
• Provide professional production services, including typesetting and proof corrections, art 
    preparation, electronic illustration and photo re-touching, for print and web.
• Design/layout large event materials, communication pieces and publication support.
• Work with internal and external partners to secure clear direction and timelines for design 
    projects. 
• Resize and update existing advertisements using templated designs.
• Create graphics and templates for PowerPoint presentations.
• Collaborate with fellow designers to improve collective body of work.
• Work with Sr. Director to ensure that all materials created are in compliance with Brand 
    Standards and/or beef checkoff attribution requirements.
• Assist team members with non-design related projects such as industry conferences and training 
    sessions.

Qualifications:
Candidate must have a graphic design degree from either a Bachelor of Arts program or an accredited Graphic Design Trade School with 3+ years experience or commensurate professional experience as a Graphic Designer. Candidate should possess good time management skills, be very budget conscious and have a great customer service attitude. This individual must be detail oriented. Candidate must be able to work under very tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing diverse schedules and priorities.

Candidate should have strong computer skills – the full complement of Adobe Creative Suite – utilizing a Windows platform. Excellent PDF and Adobe Acrobat skills are a must. The successful candidate must possess the skills, resourcefulness and energy to handle multiple projects, work effectively with staff at all levels of an organization as well as with external print vendors and as part of a design team, and function effectively in high-pressure situations.
