LAN \ Help Desk Technician

Location: National Cattlemen's Beef Association, Denver office
Reports to: Network Administrator \ Help Desk Supervisor

General Responsibilities:
Assist the IT team in supporting the Denver and Washington, DC office locations as well as remote home users. Responsible for ensuring Level 1 Help Desk requests are addressed in a timely manner.Perform software installation and configuration, hardware and peripheral installation and pc maintenance, computer upgrades and end-user support. Organize and inventory IT equipment and software licensing, as required. Assist with all daily help desk requests and other tasks as assigned. Occasional travel may be required.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Prioritize and account for timely response and completion of Help Desk requests.
• Build and field computers\hardware as required.
• Provide technical assistance for organization meetings.
• Troubleshoot computer hardware and software and manage necessary maintenance activities. 
    This also applies to the
        o general maintenance of fax services, printers, copiers, audio-visual and 
            telecommunications equipment.
• Assist with computer\office relocations.
• Help maintain network system documentation to include hardware and software inventory and 
    license usage.
• Escalate technical issues to other IT team members, as necessary.
• Moderate Travel
• Execute miscellaneous tasks, as assigned.
• Willingness to work overtime

Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Windows XP\7\8, Office 2007\2010\2013 and other BackOffice products required. Ability to troubleshoot problems and install computer software and hardware is essential. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks required.

Physical Requirements:
This is a general office environment.  Ability to sit, stand, stoop, move moderate weighted items, noise level is moderate.  Access to stairs and elevator.
