What is LMC?
The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Livestock Marketing Council is about better serving our industry, catering to those who have given us and NCBA their business today and those who will do so tomorrow. The Livestock Marketing Council is enhancing the opportunity for livestock market operators and order buyers to join and actively participate in the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and receive value-added services.
Livestock marketing is a fast paced business that is always changing. The Livestock Marketing Council's overall objective is to help its members reach their maximum business potential. NCBA has a full-time staff person in Denver, CO working as a livestock marketing liaison to LMC members, providing daily information on marketing, trade updates, and beef industry issues. That person also focuses on the happenings of Congress and manages all Grain Inspection Packer’s and Stockyards Administration issues on behalf of LMC members.
The Livestock Marketing Council is a fully operational marketing service. LMC provides its members with many beneficial services such as: credit check services, preferred insurance provider, preferred legal services, and timely industry information. LMC also has monthly conference calls with council leadership and LMC members to give market reports from each individual’s area, address beef industry concerns, give trade updates, and discuss recruiting tactics.
