Recruit 3 New Members to Earn Special Benefits and Prizes
To become a Top Hand Club member individuals must recruit 3 new NCBA members. To remain in the club, members must recruit 2 new members each subsequent year. The Top Hand Club recruitment year runs October 1 through September 30. Members of the Club receive prizes for their recruitment efforts. To receive credit for new NCBA members signed up, recruiters need to list their name on the new member application.
Every Top Hand receives a plaque, a special Top Hand Club lapel pin, and one ticket to the Awards Lunch during the Annual Cattle Industry Convention. Other items to be earned through recruitment include a cowboy hat, airline tickets, convention registration and hotel accommodations. Each year the Top Hand Club champion will be awarded a choice of a custom saddle or a $2,000 vacation package.
Membership is vital to the organization, and recruitment efforts by our Top Hand Club members allow NCBA the opportunity to reach out to more producers and bring them together to make the vital decisions that shape the direction of the industries future. Everyday our industry is facing new and more threatening challenges making it more and more important for all producers to work together.
The Top Hand Club is the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s oldest and most respected program. Started in 1982, the Top Hand Club is a “member-recruit-a-member” program which was developed to recognize those NCBA members who continually give their time and effort to help increase the strength their national organization. The Club has grown to include more than 200 members.By helping to build a strong membership base for NCBA these members are committed to the future of their industry and organization.
