Fifth-generation rancher Bob Skinner of Oregon testified Wednesday before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Forests and Forest Health, on behalf of NCBA, the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association, and the Public Lands Council. Skinner told the committee that ranching and grazing brings many benefits to rural America.

Skinner added that the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act is badly in need of reform.

Skinner asked the committee for practical reforms that will achieve river preservation, while also allowing agriculture to thrive in these areas.
