CATTLEMEN WILL HELP 'DEFINE THE INDUSTRY' IN SAN ANTONIO
DENVER, Colo. (Sept. 19, 2000) – Cattlemen and women from around the country will develop a path to the future of their industry when they get together in San Antonio, Tex. Jan. 31 to Feb. 4 for the 2001 Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show. Anyone with a stake in the cattle industry is invited to attend and participate.
Theme for the 2001 Convention is "Define the Industry: Be Part of the Adventure." Included in the event are the annual meetings of the Cattlemen's Beef Promotion and Research Board, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, the American National CattleWomen and Cattle-Fax.
In addition to key committee, council and board sessions establishing policies and programs for respective organizations, there will be educational programs to provide up-to-date ideas for cattle producers. A "Cattlemen's College" will be held again this year, offering producers creative and profitable suggestions for their operations.
The San Antonio Convention Center will be the site of the industry event, which is expected to draw a crowd of 6,000. With its pleasant winter climate, old-world charm and many interesting attractions, San Antonio will be a winning site for the 2001 Convention. The Alamo, a River Walk that winds through the downtown area, Fiesta Texas Theme Park, SeaWorld San Antonio and numerous world-class restaurants and shopping areas help make the city a prime location for both business and social events.
