Cattlemen headed to Washington, D.C., for NCBA Spring Legislative Conference
(Audio with Andy Groseta (GROW-SET-UH), president of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association)
Several hundred cattle producers from across the nation are gathering in the nation's capital this week for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) Spring Legislative Conference, as well as a meeting of the Public Lands Council (PLC). The PLC meeting - made up of livestock producers who graze on federal lands - opens the conference today (3/31).
In addition to visiting many key regulatory agencies, cattlemen will be on Capitol Hill to meet with their representatives in Congress. NCBA President Andy Groseta, a rancher from Cottonwood, Ariz., says the latest negotiations on the Farm Bill will be high on the list of issues discussed.
