Mon., Nov. 18 02 -- Agencies Get an Earful from Western Ranchers

Ranchers aren’t bashful, as U.S. government agencies found out last week.  The ranchers, representing the NCBA and the Public Lands Council, were in Washington, D.C. last week to discuss issues of concern and their perspectives of solutions to ongoing problems.  According to K.L. Bliss, a rancher from Eastern Montana and president of PLC, one of the issues concerns a lack of coordination.

The Public Lands Council and NCBA held a grasslands briefing on Capitol Hill Thursday in cooperation with Ducks Unlimited, the Society for Range Management and the Nature Conservancy.
