NCBA Receives Regional Communications Award from NAMA
DENVER (Jan. 19, 2005) –The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s (NCBA) monthly newsletter, Beef Business Bulletin recently won a first-place award from the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA). The awards were announced at the Region II “Best of NAMA” banquet held Jan. 6 in Kansas City, Mo.
“It’s so gratifying to see that NAMA recognizes the quality and effectiveness of the Beef Business Bulletin,“ said Mark Moenning, a cow-calf operator from Hayfield, Minn. and chairman of NCBA’s producer communications committee. “This publication was selected from a number of outstanding entries, and we are extremely honored to have received this award.”
The Beef Business Bulletin has been in publication for 28 years. It is mailed monthly to more than 25,000 NCBA members. An electronic version is distributed online as well.
The specific category that the publication won is listed as “company and association newsletters – external-farmers, growers and ranchers.” Region II includes the Great Plains, Midlands, Missouri-Kansas, Rocky Mountains and the Southwest.
Having been honored as a first-place winner at the regional level, Beef Business Bulletin is now eligible to advance to judging for NAMA’s national awards given later this year.
