Sixteen seminars will be held on topics such as: cutting costs and adding value to your operation through the use of genetics; retained ownership and forage and feed management; understanding grid marketing; beef industry alliances; new beef products and their impact on the producer; ensuring a safe and wholesome beef supply from ranch to kitchen; and keeping calves alive and performing -- passive immunity's role. Other course topics will be offered in the areas of business management, cattle marketing, product marketing, quality assurance, and animal health.
Retired United Airlines Captain Al Haynes will speak at the Cattlemen's College luncheon that is free to registered participants. Captain Haynes will speak about how luck, communications, preparation, execution and cooperation attributed to the survival of 184 passengers in the crash of United Airlines Flight 232 on July 19, 1989.
Cattlemen's College is an excellent value. Ticket prices for the day's seminars are $55 with a convention registration; $95 without a registration; $45 for students with a convention registration; and $80 for students without a registration.
