Title: NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen Television Show Expands to One Hour March 3

DENVER – NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen, the award winning RFD-TV cable show that brings cattle industry news, information and education to producers across the country each week, will expand to one hour on March 3. The program, which now runs one-half hour, premieres Tuesdays at 8:30 EST, and is repeated Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.

“This is a great chance to expand our education spots, producer profiles, beef cooking spots and policy news,” says Melissa Tessitore, executive producer, NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen. “Our viewers will enjoy a more in-depth look at the industry’s issues, and a broader view of what’s going on around the country.” The show is now in its third year. The hour-long program will come with a new host. Kevin Ochsner, a cattleman who took the helm of NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen in January 2009. Ochsner works as an agri-business consultant and with his family also runs Limousin and Lim-Flex cattle on a ranch in northeastern Colorado.

Tessitore says sponsors are excited about the move, which will bring additional exposure to the program, which received a NAMA Award from the National Agri-Marketing Association last year. Current sponsors include Fort Dodge Animal Health, Purina Mills, Bayer Animal Health, McDonalds, Dow AgroSciences, John Deere and Igenity. Additional opportunities for sponsorship are available on the program, Tessitore says. Companies interested can contact Tessitore at 303/850-3390 (mtessitore@beef.org) or Marvin Kokes at 303/850-3339 (mkokes@beef.org).
