REVISED HANDBOOK PROVIDES LATEST FACTS ON CATTLE, BEEF
DENVER, Colo., Dec. 10, 1997 -- As the largest segment of agriculture -- the nation's largest industry -- the cattle and beef industry is crucial to many aspects of our society. The extent of that importance is demonstrated in the revised Cattle and Beef Handbook, a comprehensive guide to cattle industry issues produced by the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA).
The Cattle and Beef Handbook includes more than 200 pages on five topics: Food Safety, Nutrition and Health, Environment, Animal Welfare and Economics. Each section contains facts and statistics about the issue, as well as statements from third- party sources, charts, references and questions and answers.
