The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association is very concerned about the recent ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in Kelo vs. New London. The ruling places private property rights in jeopardy, according to NCBA CEO Terry Stokes.

Stokes says eminent domain has legitimate purposes, but should never be used by government to shift property from one private party to another.

He said this situation requires legislative solutions, and cattlemen will be front-and-center in this effort.
