Chief Executive Officer

Kendal Frazier

Kendal Frazier is the Chief Executive Officer for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer, for NCBA. Prior to working at NCBA, Kendal was the Vice President of Communications for the former National Cattlemen’s Association.

Kendal was raised on a diversified livestock operation in southern Kansas and has extensive professional experience in agriculture and in the beef industry. His background includes work as a radio and television farm broadcaster at WIBW Radio/TV in Topeka, Kansas. Prior to joining NCA, he served as Communications Director for the Kansas Livestock Association. He has extensive experience in agricultural communications.

He is a graduate of Kansas State University and holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics. Kendal and his wife, Cindy, live in Centennial, Colorado.

Colin Woodall, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs

Colin Woodall is the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for NCBA in Washington, D.C. He serves as NCBA’s chief lobbyist on Capitol Hill and leads the Washington office in developing strategies to ensure that the cattle industry’s voice is being heard by policy makers.

Colin is originally from Big Spring, Texas, and holds a degree in Agricultural Systems Management from Texas A&M. At A&M, Colin was involved in the Corps of Cadets and active in the student chapter of the American Association of Agricultural Engineers. After college he worked as a grain elevator manager and grain merchandiser for Cargill in WaKeeney and Hugoton, Kansas. After venturing to Washington, Colin took a job with U.S. Senator John Cornyn where he worked on agriculture, interior, energy and water projects and appropriations. Colin has been with NCBA since June of 2004.

Todd Johnson, Senior Vice President of Federation Services

Todd Johnson is Senior Vice President of the Federation Services department for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. In this role Todd oversees services provided to state beef councils. He joined the NCBA team in December, 2009.

Prior to working at NCBA, Todd was on staff at the American Hereford Association, Kansas Livestock Association and last served as the Executive Director of the Kansas Beef Council. He was raised on a diversified farming and cattle business that includes a commercial cow herd and backgrounding feedlot in Central Kansas near Marquette. His parents, brother, sister-in-law and nephew are all engaged full-time in the family business.

Todd is a 1994 graduate of Kansas State University, obtaining a degree in Agricultural Economics with an Animal Science Option. Todd and his wife, Mandy, live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Marvin Kokes, Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations & Events

Marvin Kokes (pronounced co-cash) is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations and Events for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.  His responsibilities include all non-dues revenue development activities such as sponsorships, Cattlemen to Cattlemen advertising sales, corporate membership, special projects and Conventions and Meetings.  Marvin serves as the primary contact for the NCBA Product Council and Allied Industry Groups.

Prior to joining NCBA in 1992, Marvin was a loan officer and field representative at the Production Credit Association in Monte Vista, Colorado and also at the Greeley, Colorado Farm Credit Services. Marvin grew up in northeastern Colorado on a cow/calf and dryland wheat operation, near the town of Crook.  Marvin has a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Colorado State University.

Marvin, his wife Marianne, and three children: Hannah, Brandon and Olivia, reside in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. 

Doug Evans, Chief Financial Officer

Doug Evans, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. He is responsible for all information technology, accounting and financial matters relating to the association, including budgeting, banking, cash management, auditing, and management of the accounting and IT staff. He also monitors financial activities related to service contracts between NCBA and various entities.

Evans has solid experience in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, operations, management, finance, accounting and administration. Before joining NCBA he was corporate controller for New Global Telecom in Golden, Colo., and prior to that served for 17 years in similar positions with a number of firms, including three food companies. Evans received his bachelor’s of business administration in accounting from Texas Tech University in 1989, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Born and raised in Hereford, Tex., Evans has hands-on experience working in feeding and packing operations. He and his wife, Karen, have three children, Chandler, Carson and Ella.

Eric Moore, Director of Compliance

Eric serves as the Director of Compliance for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.  As Director of Compliance he ensures programs, policies and practices and all associated activities are in compliance with the requirements of NCBA’s funding sources as well as internal requirements.

While he did not grow up in the agriculture industry, Eric gained experience in association management with his work at USA Cycling and the United States Olympic Committee.  He most recently came from the healthcare software industry where he was in charge of overseeing Sarbanes Oxley testing and various compliance functions.
         
Eric and his wife Laura have a daughter, Adrianna, and reside in Littleton, CO.  In his down time you can find Eric fly fishing on a river or at his fly tying bench.

Beth Harris, Executive Director of Human Resources

Beth Harris is the Executive Director of Human Resources at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Beth creates and maintains HR policies and programs across the organization.  She directs human resource activities including staffing, benefits, employee relations and training while staying compliant with state and federal employment laws. Beth also serves as the HR advisor to state beef councils and affiliates.

Prior to working at NCBA Beth lead HR departments within the Hospitality and Construction industries. She has a business management degree from Metro State, and maintains her PHR (professional in Human Resources).

Beth and her husband, Jason, live in Parker with their children, Sydney, Brayden, Carsen and Owen. 

Alisa Harrison, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing & Issues Management

Alisa Harrison directs NCBA’s checkoff funded national and state partnership strategies and integration through marketing, communications and research and science disciplines to activate consumers to choose beef and build beef demand.

Alisa comes to NCBA after serving as the Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing for the International Franchise Association. She previously worked in a senior role for the APCO Worldwide marketing and public relations agency. From 2001-2005 she was Director of Communications and Press Secretary for Secretary of Agriculture Anne Veneman. At USDA, she served as a spokesperson for the secretary and the department as well as managed all news media relations and communications strategies. Before joining USDA, Alisa was Executive Director, Public Relations for NCBA from 1986 to 2001.

Alisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications/Journalism from the University of Tennessee.
