Captain Peter Shinn, who served as public affairs officer for the Iowa National Guard's 734th Agribusiness Development Team, explains that through the National Guard's Agribusiness Development Teams, American farmers and ranchers who are members of the National Guard are deploying on missions to Afghanistan to work with the Afghan government as well as Afghan farmers to improve food production.
