NCBA's Cattlemen to Cattlemen Live at the 2013 Cattle Industry Annual Convention and NCBA Trade Show in Tampa, Florida
— Live Shows to Feature Florida Cattle Industry, Trade Show, New NCBA President
TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 4, 2013) – Cattlemen and women who can’t make it to the 2013 Cattle Industry Annual Convention and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) Trade Show in Tampa, Fla., will have two unique opportunities to experience the event. NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen is bringing the convention directly to viewers around the country. Tues., Feb. 5, and Wed., Feb. 6, NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen host Kevin Ochsner will bring viewers the latest cattle industry news and information live from the Tampa Convention Center.
The Feb. 5 episode will air at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on RFD-TV and will feature a discussion with members of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association (FCA) on what makes the Florida beef cattle industry unique, the challenges facing the Florida beef industry and FCA’s priorities for 2013. Participating in the discussion will be FCA President Woody Larson, President-Elect Wes Williamson and First Vice President Henry Kempfer.
Also included in Tuesday’s episode will be a panel discussion on the Five Nations Beef Alliance (FNBA), its mission, current projects and important issues. Joining the discussion will be NCBA CEO Forrest Roberts, Confederación Nacional de Organizaciones Ganaderas Chief Economist Andres Piedra and Canadian Cattlemen’s Association Director of Government and International Relations John Masswohl.
“NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen is excited to bring news, education and sights and sounds of the convention experience to folks around the country who aren’t able to make it to Tampa,” said Ochsner. “Even if you’re not in the Sunshine State, you will be able to get a glimpse of all the excitement happening during the week by joining us on RFD-TV.”
On Feb. 6, NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen will air a special two-hour live edition of the show from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST on RFD-TV, featuring convention highlights, new products and education from the NCBA Trade Show floor during the “Taste of Florida” welcome reception. NCBA President-Elect Scott George will join the show to talk about his new role within the organization. These episodes will be available on the program’s website at www.cattlementocattlemen.org.
